Condizione: near fine. Hbk 30pp of text with a tipped in frontis illustration followed by 10 numbered plates this edition limited to 500 numbered copies of which this is number 363 there is a small printed note tipped onto the limitation page saying that the edition was only 400 copies. 'Of these, 89 copies are imperfect through… binding faults of stitching and or the heading on pages 6 and 7 are out of alignment.' The note is initialed WR (presumably Walter Riitchie) original acetate jacket showing some waviness but it has done its job and the woven cloth boards with bright red Gill monogram remain bright crisp and clean altogether a fine tight unmarked copy becoming hard to find.
