Includes an original drawing signed by Newman in a pocket at the back. Number 67 out of a limited print run of 100 copies. Signed and numbered by the author on the edition page. Gilt title stamped on front board. An exhibition catalogue for a show of the same title that took place at Prince Arthur Galleries (Toronto, CA) from September 27 to October 15, 1979. Text block is very slightly age toned but is otherwise clean, unmarked, and square with a strong binding. The spine and boards are unblemished. The dustjacket (illustrated paper) has a 3 cm enclosed tear (repairable) by the bottom of the front hinge and slight wear along the edges. Fine condition for the book, and very good for the dustjacket. John Beatty Newman (1933-2024) was a Toronto born painter and drawer with a career that spanned over 70 years. He was a faculty member of OCAD U for 30 years. His artwork is in collections in Canada, the USA, Italy, the UK, South Korea, and China.
