An den Diplomaten und Historiker Adolphe de Circourt (1801-79) mit der Bitte um einen dringenden Besuch am folgenden Morgen: "Mon cher Circourt, venez je vous prie, si cela ne vous déranger pas, demain vendredi à 9 heures du matin, je vous trouverai chez m…oi, il me tarde de vous voir, au court à Paris [.] J'ai e té bien hereux, hier, d'avoir l'henneur de faire connaissance avec la Comtesse de Circourt à qui je présente ici mes respects [.]". 1829-30 Premierminister von Frankreich, wurde Polignac nach der Julirevolution verhaftet. 1836 amnestiert, lebte er in England und Bayern, bis er 1845 die Erlaubnis erhielt, nach Frankreich zurückzukehren - unter der Bedingung, sich von Paris fernzuhalten und sich aus der Politik zurückzuziehen. Die erwähnte Gattin Circourts, die gebürtige Russin Anastasia de Circourt (geb. Klustine, 1808-63), war eine bekannte Pariser Salonnière. - Mit monogrammiertem Lacksiegel und kleinem Ausriss durch Siegelbruch (keine Textberührung).
