Scarce and probably one of only a few copies of the dissertation. - Submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree Doctor of Philosophy in Department of Biometry Faculty of Agriculture, University of Natal. Pietermaritzburg, October 1968. - Professor A. A. Rayner supervised the dissertation and is listed as co-author in the published version of 1971 (Griffin's statistical monographs & courses, no. 28, New York, Hafner Pub. Co., 1971, viii, 127).
