Exterior shows minor scuffing but edges are sunned and spine as well. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. The hinge at the front board has a small pinholes near the bottom edg…e but the rest of the binding is good. Pages are toned due to age but are clean, no underlining, no bookplates, no library markings. The only handwriting found in book is on the front end page where there is a very brief gift inscription.

The authors refer to a case study on smallholder cotton farmers in the Republic of Benin to emphasise the global pesticide poisoning crisis.The final chapter reviews the environmental impacts of pesticide use in agriculture, focussing on their contribution to global human and ecological health issues. It provides an overview of how pesticides are currently addressed in emission inventory and impact assessment, and discusses the relevance of spatiotemporal variability in modelling emissions and the toxicity and ecotoxicity impacts of pesticides.
