"Villeicht wegen furcht des annahenden Kriegesvolcks [.]." /// Schöner Brief von 1606 aus Köln. --- Geschrieben und signiert von einem "Bernhart Zum Putz", nachweisbar als Bernhard zum Pütz (1558-1626), Kanzler von Jülich-Berg und Bürgermeister von Düren, der 1613 d…ie Pfalzgrafenwürde erhielt. --- Dieser ist auch erwähnt in einer Akte von 1605 im Landesarchiv Nordrhein-Westfalen, Abteilung Rheinland, Bestand AA 0029 Jülich-Berg, Repertorien und Handschriften: "Johann Wilhelm von Jülich-Kleve-Berg verschreibt dem lic.jur. Bernhard zum Pütz, Mitglied der Jülischen Kanzlei, die Pacht aus dem Grevenhof und der Mühle zu Brugk (Amt Porz) und der Windmühle zu Mülheim, (Inhaber: Anthon Becker, Bürger zu Köln) und anstelle einer älteren Rente 100 Reichstaler aus dem Amte Löwenberg." --- Datiert Köln, den 8. November 1606 ("Datum Cölln, ahm 8. Novemb. Ao p. 1606." --- Gerichtet an eine "Junffer" (also Jungfer), da aber ihr "Haußherr" erwähnt ist, scheint sie verheiratet zu sein. Es handelt sich wohl um die Ehefrau von Johann von Beeck auf Haus Beeck (Wegberg), da der Brief aus einer entsprechenden Sammlung stammt. --- Transkription: "Vielgünstige Junffer, Derselben schreiben vom lesten octobris ist mir heut erst alhie zuhanden kommen, und Ich hette vermeint, wie Ich mit Ew. ld{?} abgeredt, sie würden sich Zu Hamboch eingestelt, oder doch der lieber Haußher widerkohmen sein unnd die Supplication dem Herrn Cantzlern Zugestelt haben, So hatte Ich gutte fueg und Ursach gehabt Im Rahtt der sachen gelegenheit Zu offenbahren und Zubefürderen Helffen, daß die gebettene Commissio, wie einmahl recessirt, erkandt wehre worden, wie Ich mich dan auch gegen den Junckern erbotten, darauß anlaß zunehmen den Bruedern mit meinem schreiben, Zum ersten Zur güttlichkeit Zuermahnen, Weill aber niemandt Kohmen, Villeicht wegen furcht des annahenden Kriegesvolcks, bin Ich verzogen, unnd ist also alles ersitzen plieben, Will derhalben die noturff erfürderen daß E.
