Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. A brief narrative about a meeting between two artists interested in nature: John James Audubon and Thomas Bewick. Also included is a brief description (with illustrations) showing how Bewick's original woodblock was used to make the print enclosed in a folder as the frontispiece of the book. Produced in an edition of 500 copies, this does have a small fold in the paper holding the print (on the side no one looks at).

One of 250 copies. Beautifully printed in black and red on handmade paper. Pp. 17. 8vo., original purple paste boards, printed paper label on upper cover. Very mild damp stain at the very edge of the bottom right hand corner of a few leaves, otherwise very good with presentation slip, printed in Hammer Uncial inserted loose. Printing of Victor Hammer's burial service in Pisgah Church Graveyard, Woodford County, Kentucky with an illsutration of a stylised drawing of Hammer tipped in. The piece also mentions prayers said for him at the Trappist Abbey of Gethsemani and a commemorative Mass said for him in Alsace.
