First trade edition. Folio. Good copy, tips worn, spine worn and cracked with some repairs. A sumptuous version of the Song of Songs (Shir haShirim/Canticum Canticorum) with tipped-in illustrations by Ze'ev Raban. Chapter and verse numbers completed by hand and some other areas hand-colored. This copy, like all the trade edition copies, has a limitation statement which applies to the 500 numbered, deluxe copies. The presence of this statement is often misinterpreted to mean that the entire edition was of 500 copies, which is not the case. This copy is, however, of the first, Berlin edition, not one of the later reprints.…
