The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists is a nonprofit organization concerning science and global security issu…es resulting from accelerating technological advances that have negative consequences for humanity. The Bulletin publishes content at both a free-access website and a bi-monthly, nontechnical academic journal. The organization has been publishing continuously since 1945, when it was founded by Albert Einstein and former Manhattan Project scientists as the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists of Chicago immediately following the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Of chief interest in this issue are the following article; Manhattan Project Declassification Program by Lt. Col. W. S. Hutchinson; Radiation Hazards and Radiation Sickness by H. Lissco; Atomic Energy and World Peace by H. C. Urey. Also on the back cover we can see that this issue was mailed to Seymour E. Harris of Harvard University. boxed on the back cover is an announcement of the recently held "Cambridge Conference of Natural and Social Scientists ?the main objective of the conference ?was to examine the problems raised by atomic energy? . It lists all the Harvard scientists who presented at the conference and the second name on the list is(yes you can see it coming) Seymour E. Harris.
