Illustrated with thirty tipped-in plates, each with tissue-guard; collated and complete. Gilt titles and decorations to spine, blind ruled borders; very light wear to the extremities. There are a few spots of ink to the upper edge. Gift inscription to the front endpaper. Renewed front blank, with ffep with recent card reback, rear endpaper and pastedown renewed. Some light foxing to leaves throughout, with plates remaining smart and bright. A lovely copy in a recent full morocco binding.

Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 224 pages, a very good hardback, publisher's original light blue cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine as well as a flying mystical creature. The front cover has a gilt design but there's also four small stains. The latter is the only fault. Otherwise, the book is VG being tightly bound and square. (On the first blank page, there's a neat Xmas gift inscription dated 1950).

Moderate++ overall shelf/timewear, boardwear, board edge and cornerwear, chipping at head and foot of ext spine, foxing on inner boards and textblock edges, faint edgeblush throughout.
