Platts-Mills, later a QC and one of Britain's leading barristers, who volunteered to work in the mines in the latter part of WWII [Wikipedia]: with the message 'in recollection of a fine experience among the miners of Yorkshire, and with best wishes.'. Minor tanning to endpapers. Slim volume, 18.5x12.8cms, in the original binding of red cloth, titled to the front in black: clean and bright, spine ends puckered, and with a small knock to one corner. Very uncommon title in any condition.
