Tre volymer. Från Justitie kanslist expeditionen. Ole Munch Ræder (1815-95) var jurist och norsks ämbetsman, men från 1861 jobbade han i Stockholm inom den gemansamma norsk-svenska utrikestjänsten. År 1845 startade Stortinget en utredning om införande av jury domstolar genom att anslå två stipendier för studiet av jurysystemet i utlandet. Ræder, som nu var kopist i ?Justisdepartementet?, fick det ena och gjorde under åren 1846 till 1848 en ambitiös studieresa i Europa och Amerika. Resultatet publicerade han i denna studie.
