Some shelf wear, fading / discoloration to the slipcase, and the cloth covering is starting to come away from the top side near the back co…rner. Volume I of the present set is a quarto size book measuring 9-7/8" x 12-1/2", xvii + 221pp with colour reproduction frontispiece. Gathered signatures in tan cloth-covered boards with dark brown backing. Binding has slight forward lean, but remains sound and tight. Volume II consists of a folding document box similarly covered in tan cloth-covered boards with dark brown backing and a brown tie ribbon, holding 30 folding plates, including 1 in colour. This is a large set, and extra shipping charges may apply depending on destination.

Size: 9.75x12.5 inches, 221pages of text with a plate volume in a clamshell style binding containing 30 black and white plates, some folding, accompanied by an explanatory booklet. Volume one is in very good plus condition with clean unmarked pages except for two tears on the bottom of page 181 which do not affect the… text at all and which have been repaired with tape. Volume two is missing plate number 5, else in near new condition with just some slight discoloration to the top of the clamshell box. The set is contained in a sturdy very good, lightly rubbed and discolored slipcase.

Text volume with color lithograph frontispiece, title page printed in red and black with publisher's device. The text volume is illustrated with numerous line drawings. Volume two is a clamshell box in same binding as text volume, containing a pamphlet listing all thirty, beautiful leporellos with lithographic reproductions of papyri loosely placed into clamshell box. Third of the Bollingen series of publications on Egyptian religion including the complete photographic recording of royal tombs, important mythological papyri, and miscellaneous cosmological texts and symbolic representations, devoted to a selection of important mythological papyri from: the Cairo Museum, the Louvre, the Bibliothèque Nationale, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the Archaeological Museum in Florence, the Turin Museum and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Sponsored by and published for Bollingen Foundation. Slipcase with minor wear. Spine of volume 1 rubbed, with a small abrasion to the cloth at the head of the spine. Set in great shape other wise. Bindings in very good-, interior in near fine condition overall.
