Soft cover. Condizione: Near Fine. RCA Victor Division, Radio Corporation of America. Massive vinyl record catalog titled, The Music America Loves Best / A Selected List of Recorded "Permanent Music" Chosen from the Vast Victor Red Seal and Victor and Bluebird Popular Record Catalogs (Camden, NJ: Radio Corporation of America, 1943). Full color paper wraps; i-viii, 501, [1], ix-xvi; some b&w illustrations and album cover images; artist index; title index; table of contents; measures 8.75 x 11 inches. "This catalog includes releases up to and including those of May, 1943." Clean and tight; interior pages are toned around the edges, but does not affect readability. [22-M] The Foreword states, in part, that the catalog offers the time-proven favorite records from "folk-songs to symphonies, from boogie-woogie to sweet swing? The physical construction of this catalog is designed to serve you best in choosing The Music You Want? In addition to Victor Red Seal Records (which famous label sets the standard for fine recorded music), the following pages include Victor Black Label Records of classics, semi-classics, and dance music; Bluebird Records of popular dance tunes; Old Familiar and Race tunes; Mexican music; and an outstanding repertoire of Educational and Children's Records; all manufactured by RCA Victor." The Table of Contents tells how the catalog is arranged, making it easy to use. The catalog also includes information on cleaning records, needles, books to enhance the enjoyment of Victor Records, and Victor and Bluebird Record prices. A great reference in the study of the variety of music available on records in 1943 and the most popular music as determined by the buying public's interest.
