Bobby Blake (Michael James Gubitosi, 1933-2023), of course, after playing "Little Beaver" in 20-odd Red Ryder movies in the mid-1940s, grew up to be television's "Baretta," and starred in the 1967 film "In Cold Blood." He was arrested in 2002 for the 2001 murder of his somewhat creepy second wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, was acquitted of her murder in 2005, but was later found liable in civil court for her wrongful death. He was known for his work on the ?I Love a Mystery? and ?Red Ryder? series during the 1940s and 1950s. Bannon is best known for being the last of four actors to portray the fictional cowboy Red Ryder in the long-running B-movie series.
