Text in Welsh. The story of Mary Jones (1784-1864), who, as a fifteen-year-old Welsh girl, at a time when Bibles in the Welsh language were scarce, walked twenty-six miles to by a copy from the Rev. Thomas Charles, who used her story to petition the Religious Tract Society to establish the British and Foreign Bible Society to supply Bibles to Wales. It is said that she purchased three copies, and two survive; one at the Cambridge University Library and the other at the National Library of Wales.This edition has a shortened title.
