Die bis heute in Norwegen weit rezipierte Erzählerin und Lehrerin veröffentlichte diese in »Nordlandsnatt« (Sommernacht in… Nordnorwegen, 1927) und »Det gråner mot høst« (Langsam wird es Herbst,1930). Die Sagen und Geschichten, die darin Erwachsene in geselliger Runde oder in der Gesindestube miteinander erzählen, wurden durch eine geschickte Rahmenhandlung zu einem dichten Strauß verwoben.
