Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. It's common for a magazine syndication to PRE-DATE the actual hard-cover "book" first edition, but that's not the case here. This is a 1940 magazine reprint of McDonald's celebrated 1938 Doubleleday-Doran novel, reportedly at full length, in 123, 7 X 9-1/2-inch pages. Also includes the 2-page William Morgan Hobbs short story "It Might Mean Murder." Page edges of this vintage pulp magazine are browning and growing fragile (edges only); this 80-year old magazine is intact in an attractive cover (missing top 3/4-inch of spine covering) but should of course be handled carefully. Reduced from $77.

FIRST ISSUE, although it states Vol. 1 No. 10 on copyright page, likely a misprint. One inch tears to spine top and bottom, 1/2 inch piece missing from spine bottom, corner crease, less than the usual amount of small edge tears, a VG copy.

Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. In very good condition for a 1952 pulp, marred by an "OCT-30" date stamp and a very faint hand-written "13" on its front cover. Its binding is tight, with slight spine lean, and just a couple of tiny chips in the spine. Its bright untrimmed covers are slightly larger than its pages, so their edges are folded over the text block and have light wear and some short closed tears. The white back cover has some very light soiling, and a bit of age toning. Its pulp pages are unmarked, whole, still supple, and lightly age toned. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.

The front cover has a chip out of the top right corner and the rear cover has a triangular chip out of the top edge and another small hole in the surface a little below this. A few small edge tears to the rear cover. Pages browned with a few spots here and there. Cover by Anderson and interior illustrations by Vestal and an uncredited artist.

Some darkening to spine panel, a nearly fine to fine copy. (26363).

Soft Cover. Condizione: Poor. First Edition. ----------4 jungle adventure pulp magazines, standard pulp size. Each issue features a Ki-Gor novel by John Peter Drummond, and other jungle tales. All 4 magazines are COVERLESS, but the covers are replaced by color photos of excellent originals, and look great. George Gross is the likely cover artist. The spines show only the date and Jungle Stories in black lettering on plain white, and the back covers are plain white. A couple of the volumes have the wraparound color copy cover detached from the pulp body. Page 3-4 is missing from the Winter 1942 issue, but there is no story text absent. The set must be classified as poor due to having no original covers, but they are very attractive in appearance none the less, and all stories are intact.
