Super octavo. 7.5 x 10.25 in. 104 pp. Very good in the original orange boards and green titling, with a fair illustrated dust jacket that has heavy chipping along the bottom edges and corners. The book has general wear indicative of a regular reading, but the binding and boards remain firm. The text has faint, periodic foxing while the illustrations and color plates remain in bright, crisp, and clean shape. All seven color plates by illustrator Rene Cloke are intact and in clean shape. A small gift inscription appears on the front free endpaper, dated "xmas 1944.".
