Aggiungi al carrelloThe following contribution summarizes several scattered records of Zygentoma and Archaeognatha, all from the Northern Upper Rhine Plain. Ctenolepisma lineata is again recorded from outside houses. Atelura formicaria, so far almost unknown from Rhineland-Palatinate, was found in a limestone packing near Jugenheim in Rheinhessen a…nd in a sand pit north of Monheim. The bristle tail Lepismachilis y-signata was recorded with a mass population in a vineyard forest near Jugenheim. 5 pp., 3 figs, gr. 8.

Aggiungi al carrelloA detailed inventory of the mollusc fauna of the nature reserve "Mombacher Rheinufer" situated between the cities of Budenheim and Mainz-Mombach (Germany, Rhineland-Palatinate) was conducted based on four field trips in 2013/2014. Currently 60 species have been recorded (36 terrestrial and 20 freshwater pastropods, 4 bivalves).…Including historical records, a total of 70 mollusc species are known from the area (40 terrestrial an 26 freshwater gastropods, 4 bivales). Worth mentioning are Lithoglyphus naticoides, Theodoxus fluviatilis and Viviparus viviparus - all three species have recovered to pre-decline densities in some parts of the Upper River Rhine in recent years. Furthermore a small population of the highly endangered species Anisus spirorbis was found in a stagnant backwater. According to a statement published at the end of the 19th century, the floodplain area between Mainz-Mombach and Budenheim harboured the almost complete regional species pool of freshwater gastropods. This can no longer be confirmed. Causes are, among others, the progressing sedimentation, probably in combination with the general decrease of the groundwater level in the region, scarcer wetlands and permanent water bodies. This, in turn, limits the occurence of many aquatic floodplain species. 18 pp., 2 figs, 2 pls, 2 tabs, gr. 8.

Aggiungi al carrelloA detailed inventory of the mollusc fauna in the nature reserve "Laubenheimer-Bodenheimer Ried" more south of Mainz was conducted between August and October 2013. Furthermore old records were summarised and compared with new results. All in all 64 mollusc species are mentioned for the area, 53 species have currently been recorde…d of which 20 species represent first records. Worth mentioning is Vertigo moulinsiana, a species listed in the annex II of the European Habitats Directive. Furthermore seven species of the Red List have been detected: Anisus spirorbis, Aplexa hypnorum, Euomphalia strigella, Granaria frumentum, Segmentina nitida and Vertigo antivertigo. 24 pp., 2 pls, 3 figs, gr. 8.

Aggiungi al carrelloBased on recent records of the woodlouse species Porcellio spinicornis in Rhineland-Palatinate, we conducted a literature and internet survey to assemble a maximum of records of this species, to delineate its distribution in Germany and the surrounding countries. In total 108 literature references were evaluated (with and withou…t records) and, including our own data, 145 records from Germany were compiled. We found records for all German states, except for Bremen. The habitat requirements are described and briefly discussed. 26 pp., 2 figs, gr. 8.

Aggiungi al carrelloFor the first time a fossil land snail fauna is described from the locus typicus of the Eppelsheim Formation, at Eppelsheim / Rhine-Hesse. The fauna was recovered within carbonaceous debris flows interfingering with fluviatile sands and contains species with tall shells, which mainly originated from the rhodanic-iberic faunal pr…ovince. The shells were resedimented from overbank loams and consist of Triotychia leobersdorfensis sarmatica Kókay, 2006, ?Miozonites sp., Macrozonites planciana (Fontannes, 1887), Macrozonites maillardi n. sp., Galactochilus sarmaticum von Gaál, 1911, Mesodontopsis minor (Boistel, 1894), Megalotachea lartetii (de Boissy, 1840), Megalotachea gualinoi (Michaud, 1855), Megalotachea sp. and an undeterminable Helicini species. The systematic classification especially of the tall fossil zonitid species is discussed in the light of published biogenic data and morphological features.
