Front fly leaves bear an ink inscription in the most elegant and precise of penmanship, dated 1852, pertaining to the presentation of the book to its original owner, a Mr. 'H. Templeton' by the Committee of the Juvenile Abstinence Union of Scotland before his departure for Australia. A beautiful, near-fine copy.
