Leather is rubbed and scuffed on the corners and upper edges. A few rubbed and faded spots to the cloth binding. Very light wear to leather spine. Light occasional foxing to contents. some of the engravings have brown spots.

Leather spine with gilt decoration and lettering, and black spine label with gilt lettering. Brown marbled board coverings with leather corners. Foxing to end papers and several pages, including title page. Small "F.H. Marshall, Book Binder" sticker label on top left corner of inside front cover. Cover edges worn. A couple pages have corner creases. Record # 604065.

Hardcover. Condizione: Good. 1842-1843 bound volume of the Victorian woman's magazine, "The Universalist and Ladies' Repository." The book is overall in good+ condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some mild wear. The binding is good and sound. The interior is lightly toned from age with some scattered light foxing. Several of the pages have some vertical crease lines the length of the page. Along with that there is likely the occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor spot of soiling or grubbiness, tiny chip, small tear, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 10 inches by 7 inches and is 476 pages long. Titled Wraps, as Issued. Condizione: VG. First. This is an original printing/publication in the light burnt orange titled wrappers as issued. Mild fold creases, Errata sheet bound-in. Some very old ink transfer to the title page along the vertical, likely from an old page inserted with fresh fountain pen ink, just a bit, very light. 16 printed pages. NOTE we also have the Second edition of this scarce booklet printed in 1874 in Toledo.
