Hardcover, 12mo., original red cloth, gilt title. 171 pp. Good. Boards rubbed and worn; small pieces of cloth missing along spine; corners bumped and also with some loss to cloth. Old pencil doodles to…endpapers; chipping to corners of endpapers; foxing throughout; dampstain visible to bottom margin of first 20 pages. Certainly a well handled copy, but a scarce early printing by one of the most important 19th-century Baptist preachers. OCLC locates 24 copies of this imprint.
