Im Vorwort beklagt der Herausgeber die Unterschiede in den Drucken, die den Unterricht erschweren. - Johannes Rhenius (geb. 1574 in Oschatz; gest. 29. Juni 1639 in Husum) war ein deutscher Lehrer. Er studierte Sprachen an der Universität Leipzig. Er wurde Konrektor an der Thomasschule. Außerdem war er ab 1609 Adjunktus und seit 1617 ordentlicher Professor organi Aristotelici an der Artistenfakultät der Leipziger Universität. Von 1618 bis 1624 war er Rektor des Gymnasiums Eisleben. 1633 war Rhenius Rektor des Stadtgymnasiums Kiel. 1634 ging er als Konrektor an die Lateinschule nach Husum. (vgl. Wikipedia). Das angebundene "Vocabula" scheint sehr selten zu sein. Über KVK konnten wir nur 3 Exemplare weltweit nachweisen: in Halle, Wolfenbüttel und in der University of Illinois. Die Bibliotheken nennen als Autor bzw. Drucker Michael Anton Struck, der allerdings schon 1744 verstorben ist. Der in unserem Exemplar genannte Johann Georg Struck (gestorben 9. April 1789) war also wohl der tatsächliche Drucker und sein Vorgänger Michael Anton der Autor des Wörterbuches. Michael Anton Struck (ca. 1670 - 14. Juni 1744) übernahm 1697 die von Johann Wilhelm Mertens gegründete Buchdruckerei an der Schönen Ecke in Wernigerode.
