Le scénario original est écrit par Jean-Pierre Feydeau : André, un chanteur à succès, père d'une jeune garçon de quatre ans, a des problèmes à cause de Fred, son frère jumeau tout juste sortit de prison. Fred décide d'enlever son neveu et de faire du chantage auprès de l'artiste. C'est dans ce film qu'a été créée la chanson Petit Papa Noël interprétée par Tino Rossi. Et même si le film est tombé dans l'oubli depuis longtemps, la chanson reste immortelle. Cette chanson est interprétée par Tino Rossi dans la scène finale du film. Parmi les 5 chansons interprétées par le comédien (dont Destin), Petit papa Noël avait été choisie et imposée par Tino Rossi lui-même dont les paroles ont été écrites par Raymond Vinci, et la musique composée par Henri Martinet. Dans ce film, le chanteur apparaît en vedette et a d'ailleurs pris un peu de ventre, loin du physique de jeune premier qu'il avait lors de ses premiers rôles. Distribution : Tino Rossi, Micheline Francey, Mila Parely, Marcelle Géniat, Armand Bernard, Paul Azais, Paul Demange, Philippe Hersent, Paul Ollivier, Marcel Charvey, Gabrielle Fontan, Guy Fournier, Charles Gérard, Léon Larive, Julien Maffre, Emile Riandreys. Ernst Deutsch dit Richard Pottier (1906-1994) est un réalisateur qui a également été scénariste, adaptateur, directeur de la photographie, et superviseur de la réalisation. Après avoir abandonné des études de médecine, Richard Pottier fait ses débuts en 1929 dans le cinéma allemand, comme assistant du réalisateur Josef von Sternberg sur L'Ange Bleu. Puis il est appelé en France pour diriger les versions françaises de productions multilingues. A partir de 1934, il passe à la réalisation sous son pseudonyme définitif. Il a tourné une quarantaine de films en 30 années de carrière : avec Luis Mariano (Le Chanteur de Mexico), Fernandel - Traces d'ancien punaisage sur les plats de couverture et légère mouillure sur la marge supérieure du premier plat, sinon bon exemplaire.
