Introduction by Richard' s son, Franklyn Searight, and a cover illustration by World Fantasy Artist award winner, Allen Koszowski (who also provided the internal illustrations). This is the third volume of a three part series. The previous two volumes were "The Brain in the Jar and Others" (Necronomicon Press 1992) and "The Sealed Casket and Others" (Necronomicon Press 1996). Richard F Searight wrote much of his fictional and poetical work during the 1930s at a time when he was honoured to have Howard Phillips Lovecraft as his epistolary friend. Lovecraft read many of the drafts and offered a critique of Searight's work. HPL also suggested that Richard should get in touch with another contemporary, Clark Ashton Smith, whom Lovecraft thought would be in a better position to advise on Richard's tales which were more Science Fiction than Horror. There were supposed to be 3 volumes (according to the introduction). However, only two were ever published. Edited by Franklyn Searight, 2 vols. One: 094088450X Published 1992, Two: 0940884852 Published 1996 1st ed. Both volumes in near fine condition with toning to the front covers. See photos whb16/E.

The first of what was projected to be be a three-volume project collecting the fiction and poetry (most unpublished) of this veteran of the pulp years and friendly correspondent of H. P. Lovecraft. (Only one more volume appeared, THE SEALED CASKET.) The present volume includes five stories, a dozen poems, and an introduction by the author's son.
