"Here is a vivid, fascinating account of a missionary's life in the rugged northern frontier of Canada. Rev. Warder spent most of his time as an itinerant missionary bringing aid and spiritual comfort to the men, women and children living in the most lonely and isolated parts of Northern Ontario, as well as some of the more populated regions. His route included such remote places as Nicholson's Siding, Dalton Mills, Missanabic, Franz, Depew and Heron Bay. He often traveled many miles on snowshoes, by boat, train, dogcart or, automobile over makeshift roads. Here, he chronicles some of his dangerous missions, made so by blizzards, train wrecks, boat and car mishaps, and an occasional frightening encounter wiht timber wovles. This 179 page hardcover book is clean, bright, tight and unmarked with trivial wear. The dust jacket bears average wear and is now in glossy new archival-grade protection. A quality example. ; 8vo.
