This "Children's Heritage Series" has not been rewritten as the Character Building Series was, but the books are reproduced in their original form; a form which some feel is antiquated. True. Since its first publication, in the early 1800's in England, these stories were translated into most of the European languages. We are told they alsoobtained a wide circulation in America; the old and the new world alike have stamped it with the seal of popular approval. At home, several editions of 20,000 copies each were printed within a very short period, and the copies which have been circulated in the English language alone are estimated at two million. It has found its way to the palaces of kings, and it has been seen in the hut of the North American Indian.
