First Edition. Very good copies both in the original gilt-illustrated green cloth boards, with corners and endbands showing mild wear. Vol. 1 front free endpaper coming loose from the tail. Text remains strong and clean on the whole, gently age-toned to the margins, and showing only the expected faint foxing of age, sparse and chiefly marginal. A well-preserved set overall. Both from a limited edition, of which 600 were printed for the first series and 550 were printed for the second in England.
