Aggiungi al carrelloEinen kurzen, einführenden Text in die computergestützte Kladistik in deutscher Sprache zu schreiben, war ein Gedanke, der mich schon längere Zeit verfolgte. Zu oft waren mir Mißverständnisse aufgefallen, die zumindest teilweise allein in der Tatsache gründen, daß die relevante Literatur fast ausschließlich in Englisch erscheint. Dadurch hat sich auch eine Terminologie entwickelt, die sich letztlich zu einer Sprachbarriere aufgetürmt hat. Ziel dieses kurzen, sich vornehmlich an Studenten richtenden Textes ist es nicht nur, diese Sprachbarriere abzubauen. Es ist vor allem auch aufzuzeigen, daß bei der phylogenetischen Analyse größerer Datensätze die Benutzung heute erhältlicher Computerprogramme nicht eine Wahl, sondern eine Notwendigkeit darstellt. Auch ist zu hoffen, das sich weit verbreitete Mißverständnisse der Terminologie und Anwendung der Kladistik, sowie der Darstellung der Resultate einer kladistischen Analyse, ausräumen lassen.
