Ziel unserer Arbeit war es, die epidemiologischen, klinischen, radiologischen und therapeutischen Merkmale des Kavumkarzinoms zu untersuchen.Das Cavumkarzinom ist immer noch ein besonderer Tumor innerhalb der anderen Krebserkrankungen des HNO-Bereichs. Dieser hochgradig progressive Tumor mit hohem Metastasierungspotenzial tritt bei jungen Menschen ohne Risikofaktoren (Alkoholotabagismus) auf und ist eindeutig mit dem EBV-Virus assoziiert. Er leidet noch immer darunter, dass es keinen zuverlässigen Serum-Tumormarker gibt, der bei der Frühdiagnose oder der Prognose helfen könnte, und dass es trotz der Beschreibung zahlreicher und vielfältiger Chromosomenanomalien kein klar identifiziertes Onkogen oder Suppressorgen gibt. 116 pp. Deutsch.
