Despite this, the number of LCX done in Accident And Emergency Department are still alarmingly high.The main reason being identified was due to overdoing of the LCX for the alert, stable and low risk patients with blunt injury to the neck by the emergency doctors.These elobarous figure can be reduce by utilisation of CCSR should reduce the number of LCX requested by the emergency doctors.The reduction of this LCX request is translated to reduction in number of unnessasary radiation exposure,more efficient time spent by the all the individual ,process and system involve in the management of the patient.The cervical 'collar off ' time will also be shorter which translates into patient comfort.The implementation of an well accepted clinical guidelines is still facing a hard time.This scenario needs to be improved if patient safety ,comfort and rights being applauded. 84 pp. Englisch.

Many a time, its inconclussive and the findings appears late in the course of the disease. Lung ultra sonography has been a current trend in the diagnosing of life threatening pulmonary conditions. In our study we have demonstrated that lung ultra sonography with CXR has definitely augmented and improved the specificity, sensitivity as well as the accuracy. This reliable, bedside, rapid non invasive technique can also be utilized in areas where X ray is not possible like in a pre hospital setup (Ambulances/Air ambulances and in pregnant women where there is concern regarding exposure to unwarranted radiation.In the near future ,managing a acute patient without the help of ultrasonography will be considered obsolete and can lead to medico-legal implication.The WINFOCUS GROUP led by PROF LUCA NERI , ENRICO STORTI, DANIEL LICHTENSTEIN , GABRIEL VIA are leading the world in proporgating this effort when previously the lung was considered as an artifact enemy of the ultrasound. 100 pp. Englisch.

The physioLogiQ teaching highlights the hemeostasis derangements as a main factor of cellular dysfunction.Esspecially due to hypertonic hyperosmolality and cellular dehydration.Hypernatremia can be produced by either the administration of hypertonic sodium solutions or from loss of free water. In hospitalized patient, they become hypernatremic as a result of an inadequate fluid prescription or impaired thirst.Elderly patients also develop volume depletion because of sodium and water losses due to diuretics, vomiting, or diarrhea. Due to the importance of sodium in determining normal homeostasis which in turn will determine the recovery of the cellular dysfunction ,we conducted this study.The objective was to determine the correlation of hypernatremia with clinical outcome in critically ill patient. It is noted from the study that hypernatremia is associated with high mortality.This alarming findings has translated into the economics of health care affordability,length and duration of stay for critically ill patient. 144 pp. Englisch.
