Title page dated 1866. Frontispiece with tissue guard present. 291 pages. This copy has early ownership name Georg [or George] H Ewell M…D signed on the front endpaper. The Ewell name is prominent in VA, but we haven't tracked down a 19th century George yet. First blank page has the signature of Wm. L Ritter. Bookplate with Ritter name on page opposite, with address on Carrolton Ave in Baltimore. Ritter was orderly Sergeant of the 3rd MD Artillery. Please email with questions or to request photos.
