Cover shows wear at edges and spine. Slightly concave spine which is lightly faded. Many pages have light pencil undelining. An illustrated history of psychological theories from their greek beginnings to modern psychotherapy and testing psychology. With biographies of oustanding representatives of the various school and movements. Not intended as a complete history but to point out and describe the milestones in the progress of the mental sciences, in sequence. Whereve the topic lent itself to direct quotation from an author, significant passages were reproduced, so that this work is in part an anthology. As a rule priority was given to originators, pioneers, rather than to elaborators. Historical aspects were treated generally under the head of the individuals who were direcdtly connected with the events. Contents in Six Parts: The Roots and Trunk, Abnormal and Medical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Collective Psychology, and Animal Psychology. Illustrated throughout with photographs.
