Light soiling to covers and outer page edges with a bit of toning. A pretty nice copy overall. Rare in the first printing especially as a softcover copy was issued virtually simultaneously. This first edition was issued in May of 1948 and Ruth, ill with throat cancer, died just a few months later in November of 1948. Uncommon.
