The four handbills are each on one side of a 12mo leaf. They consist of a notice of the election by the secretary Philip Lutley Sclater ('The Band of the First Life Guards will, by permission of Col. the Hon. Dudley de Ros, perform in the Gardens'), and three balloting lists, each dated 29 April 1869: for the Officers (on pink paper), the Council (on yellow paper), and the Committee of Publication (on green paper).
