Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. DJ has a large tear in front that extends to the back of the spine, and a good sized piece missing (see scan). There's some wear to the corners and spine ends of DJ also. The brown hardcover is in very good condition. There's an embossed design that has a small impressed dent in it, which seems not to be part of the embossing - it's deeper than the rest. Inside, the book is clean, unmarked, and undamaged.

Soft cover. Condizione: Near Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. School of Visual Arts, New York 2000. Soft Cover. Book Condition: Near Fine. First Edition 9 3/4 x 12" 44 pages. Spring 2000 issue of this fine arts periodical devoted solely to the drawings of Robert Hagel, best known for his work with the J. Peterman catalogues of the 1980s. Includes two short essays by George Tscherny and Dick Calderhead about the artist and about thirty of his drawings, mainly nudes, some self-portraits including Hagel's notes and comments in both color and B/W. From Hagel's obituary (1939-2013): A native New Yorker, Bob graduated from the High School of Music and Art and the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He impressed both his teachers and colleagues with his singular ability to draw. Bob always followed the simple philosophy of his mentor at SVA: "When the world zigs, you zag." He was a devoted family man, amazing friend and an artists' artist. Bob had a long and illustrious career in advertising but was best known as the original illustrator and art director of the J. Peterman Catalog. His paintings and line drawings became legendary and helped make J. Peterman an icon in catalog marketing. He called what he did for the company "a labor of love." Bob loved mentoring upcoming artists; he always looked for the positive in people and paid little attention to the negative.
