Duncan Hannah was a key figure in the burgeoning New York underground arts scene, befriending Andy Warhol and his superstars, Lou Reed, Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, Salvador Dali, and many others. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, his paintings were exhibited in the influential 1980 Times Square Show alongside work by Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and several of his paintings are held in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A private investigator suffers amnesia after a head injury, making it difficult for him to testify in an important murder case. 8 x 10 inches. Fine.

Draft script for the 1940 film, with the name of uncredited screenwriter Leonard Lee in manuscript pencil over date on lower left. Paramount "File Copy" and "Master File" stamps and manuscript annotation in pencil on front wrapper. Script divided into sequences, as was customary for the period. Paramount's 1940 Technicolor south seas adventure. Dea (Dorothy Lamour) is marooned on an isolated island since childhood with only the company of Koko the chimp, when Skipper Joe (Lynne Overman) and Johnny Potter (Robert Preston) are marooned on the island by a mutinous crew. The three must battle angry natives and survive tidal waves, a forest fire, and the titular typhoon to survive. Nominated for an Academy Award. Set on a South Sea island, and shot on location in Santa Catalina Island, Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, and Baldwin Dry Lake, California. A mare has been lured away by a wild stallion, angering the mare's owner, Beaver Greenway, a horse owner with a drinking problem. Meanwhile, Ken McLaughlin (Arthur) returns home with a new horse who has developed altitude sickness. Based on the third book in Mary O'Hara's "My Friend Flicka" trilogy. Nominated for one Academy Award. Set in Wyoming, shot on location in Wyoming, Utah, and Ohio, USA. Blue titled wrappers, noted as Final on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 84 and production No. 133, dated April 7, 1947. Distribution page present, with receipt removed. Mimeo snipe, manuscript annotations and a rubber stamp on the verso of each. Loosely based on Kenneth Roberts' 1937 novel of the same name. The film gives a partially fictionalized account of the St. Francis Raid, a violent attack on a settlement of the Abenakis tribe, seen by the perpetrators as an act of vengeance for the Abenakis many attacks on British settlers.
