Bowker Company in 1950. This book shows some wear, as I'm thinking it has been opened and closed countless times throughout its 61 years of service. After all, it contains much useful information, seeing as how it is a listing of thousands of other places you could write/contact for all sorts of wide-ranging, specific info. Webbing can be seen toward top of meeting place between front paste down and loose end pages, the pages of text, as well as both sets of endpapers, have yellowed modestly, some of standard library markings are in evidence, and some random white spots/stains dot both front and back cover boards. From author's Introduction, "This guide is planned as a supplement to The Bookman's Manual and lists the 'know-how' books, pamphlets, government documents and other printed materials relating to the non-vocational, spare-time, recreational and home-making activities of men and women. Although it is primarily a handbook for booksellers, most librarians, teachers, dealers in arts and crafts materials and hobbyists should find it a quick guide to information sources.
