One image shows director Roger Vadim carrying a smiling Jane Fonda, whom he married just prior to the start of filming. A modern adaptation of the 1872 novel "La Curee" by Emil Zola, about a wealthy young woman who marries and older man, only to be tricked out of her fortune when she falls for his son.
