Photograph with a mimeo snipe label and a photographer's label on the verso. The play premiered at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas on October 30 and closed on November 14, 1992. Wilson's staging of the canonical 1794 play was Wilson's first project as Artistic Associate of Houston's Alley Theatre, and was produced after an eight month creative process led by Wilson as the production's director and designer. Wilson's first work for the stage with spoken text. The theatrical piece premiered at the Festival dei Due Mondi in June 1974, and was subsequently performed later that year in La Rochelle and Paris.
