Binding sound and tight, full-leather binding in black morocco has some corner and edgewear with no weakness or splitting of the leather. Clear gilt titling to spine. Matt black coated endpapers with inner hinge cloth re-inforced so has stood up well. Gilt inner dentelles have been part covered up by the endpaper material. Free of markings. Quite well handled, the fine india paper is edged in pink with the outer edge also in gilt, which has mostly been thumbed away. A few corner-folds, not deliberate in nature at the very tips. No foxing or spotting to speak of. The text is in three columns with prefaces by Young and Stevenson and appendices on "Index Lexicon to the Old Testament", "Scripture Proper Names"and "A Sketch of Recent Exploration in Bible Lands" by Professor Nichol. viii + 1090 + 93 + 23+ 30pp. Size: 4to seventh Edition Revised, 11th Impression.
