At the fiftieth anniversary of the October Revolution, Robin Page Arnot describes what happened here at the time - the varied reactions of the Press, the wild speculations when the Revolution started and the no less wild lies when it became clear it had won; the reactions in Parliament and in the political parties of the Establishment; and the reactions in the Labour Movement. He follows the events from the announcement of the abdication of the Tsar to the end of the wars of intervention." /// Cloth binding with dust jacket; hardback, 191 pp., 8° (14 x 22 cm), dust jacket slightly worn and yellowed, front endpaper with owner's signature written with pen, condition: very good Book Language/s: English.
