Vintage publicity photograph from the 1945 film noir, showing actor Edward G. Robinson. Censor blindstamp at the bottom right corner, and numeric stamps on the verso. Based on the 1930 novel by Georges de La Fouchardiere and the 1931 French film by Jean Renoir, both titled "La chienne" ("The Bitch"). The definitive telling of La Fouchardière's story, grim and relentless, one of the bleakest American noirs of the decade. 8 x 10 inches.
