Bound in brown cloth with a camel on the front cover, gilt still bright, top edges gilt, binding and hinges tight. INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR on the front free endpaper [appears to be] "To T. W. Budge / With very kind regards from / Major Jennings". Sir Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge [1857-1934] was a well known Egyptologist, Orientalist and Philologist, with one of his studies being the Ge'ez language of Ethiopia. Covers show bumped corners, interior shows foxing throughout. From the personal collection of Dr. Brooks Ryder (1918-1995), graduate of Harvard College, Harvard School of Public Health, and Tufts Medical School.
