Die verwendete Methode war eine bibliometrische Erhebung, gefolgt von einer quantitativen Erhebung. Die Datenerhebung erfolgte in Form einer Umfrage; sie wurde als deskriptiv eingestuft, und da es sich um eine Analyse mit zahlreichen Variablen handelte, wurde das Messinstrument mit Hilfe einer konfirmatorischen Faktorenanalyse validiert. Geringe Korrelationen wurden bei den Variablen festgestellt, die sich auf Kommunikationsmechanismen, Routinen und Auslöser für die Aktivierung der Suche nach externem Wissen beziehen. Este estudo teve como objetivo validar um instrumento de mensuração da CA no contexto de IES, utilizando-se da visão dos gerentes de Tecnologia da Informação. O método utilizado foi uma pesquisa bibliométrica, seguida por uma pesquisa quantitativa. O levantamento de dados utilizado foi do tipo survey; classificada como descritiva, e, por se tratar de uma análise envolvendo inúmeras variáveis, a validação do instrumento de mensuração foi realizada por meio de uma análise fatorial confirmatória. Foram encontradas correlações baixas nas variáveis referentes a mecanismos de comunicação, rotinas e gatilhos para a ativação da busca ao conhecimento externo.
