Hardcover. Condizione: Good. The cover has green cloth with goldtone lettering and rule lines. The sub-title is A Detective Story; the detective's name is Macumber. About a third of the cover's top edge is frayed, perhaps from insect damage. The spine strip's bottom edge and the boards' bottom, front corners are a little frayed from shelf wear. The spine strip has ten faded spots, up to a linear 1/2 in. The front margins of 16 pages each have a stain, up to a linear 1 in. A linear, 2 in., intermittent, light stain is on some text. Scarce Chelsea House mystery (in Hubin) from the pulp author whose works appeared in DETECTIVE WEEKLY, FLYNN'S DETECTIVE and SHORT STORIES in the twenties and thirties. Rohde also authored another Chelsea House issue, HUNTED DOWN.
