First Edition. Slim octavo (22cm); original pictorial card wrappers, stapled; 40,[2]pp. With a holograph notation by editor R.R. Cuscaden on the title leaf, which corresponds to a brief holograph correction in text: "Note p.5 / We need poems!! / R.R.C." Modest external wear, subtle toning and dust-soil to wrappers, with tanning to text, a brief editorial correction to Bukowski's poem on p.20, and some shallow nicks to right edge of terminal leaf; Very Good+. Contains the first appearance of two Bukowski poems "I Live Too Near The Slaughterhouse" and "When Hugo Wolf Went Mad" (the latter published later that year in EPOS). Missed by Dorbin.
