Gevouwen karton, bedrukt in rood, groen en zwart. 15 x 10 cm. Binnenin de tekst 'S.H. de Roos/ grootmeester/ der grafische/ kunstenaars/ van de XXe eeuw' en een portret. Het portret is helemaal opgebouwd uit letters, om precies te zijn de woorddelen 'flit' en de letters m, n, l plus leestekens! Dit typografische huzarenstukje is… het werk van Pierre Oly (1882-1972), die in 1900 in dienst was getreden bij Lettergieterij Tetterode, en in 1908 (een jaar vóór De Roos hetzelfde deed) een Javaanse letter had ontworpen. In 1916 werd hij directeur van de Indische tak van de Lettergieterij, en in 1932 van de Etablissements Plantin, de 'Belgische dochter-vennootschap' van de L.A. Het portret is gezet op een Intertype, een tussen 1920 en 1960 veelgebruikte regelzetmachine. Er bestaat ook een uitgave van 34 x 27 cm, maar deze kaart is in verkleind formaat en zonder de naam van de maker. De letters zijn ook in dit ansichtkaartformaat nog duidelijk herkenbaar.
