Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. Oversized hardcover. Gray cloth with subtle floral pattern. Gold lettering on the cover and decorated spine. Corners bumped and some wear to the spine. Binding is damaged; front gutter is split, so the front cover and spine are attached to the rear cover but not the first page of the text block. It's a simple repair, but it a necessary one. Text block tight and in one piece. Pages numbered 79-108 + plates. This appears to be a companion volume to the 1834 version, as the pagination is continuous from that one. The illustrations are 2 to a plate. Plates are much foxed and text pages are faded. Tissue guards. Early gift inscription on the inside front cover. Measures 8.5 x 11.5 inches.

First title page title "Picturesque Rambles: Westmorland, Cumberland, Durham and Northumberland." Both volumes undated and only this title page states 1847. Features Ambleside, Windermere Lake, Grasmere Lake and village, Rydal Water, Ullswater, Buttermere, Carlisle and Carlisle Cathedral, Derwentwater, Keswick, and other well-known scenic spots.
